Cervezalandia’s new lager release pays tribute to Socios Car Club, Sacra Chicano culture, and bold flavor.
From the label to the streets, the Socios Chevy bomb pulled up in style — joining a beautiful lineup of lowriders in front of the brewery. ¡Salud!
On a spring Saturday, March 29, 2025, the clean Chevy bomb straight from the label of Cervezalandia’s newest release, Sipping Into Darkness, took its place among a row of lowriders outside King Cong Brewery. Following the annual César Chávez March, the brewery buzzed with community, culture, and celebration — the perfect backdrop to unveil Sacramento’s newest craft brew.
Smooth as a Sunday cruise, this Czech-style lager delivers mellow toastiness with a clean, drama-free finish — puro sabor. Inspired by WAR’s iconic Slipping Into Darkness, this cerveza is crafted for reflection, connection, and cultura. Light on the palate yet rich in spirit, it blends classic Czech brewing traditions with a distinctly Chicano heartbeat.
King Cong’s patio, paired with classic brewery eats, made the perfect spot for a laid-back afternoon. With beats by DJ Sanz and DJ Big Happy setting the tone, the family-friendly crowd danced to everything from oldies to West Coast hip-hop, funk, and R&B.
The vibe was low, slow, and full of love. Guests sipped and celebrated well into the evening. A plaque was awarded to Ruben Garcia for Best In Show lowrider for his immaculate ’63 Impala.
It’s all part of the vibe — and the brew is now available at Cervezalandia’s Shift Change location. ¡Salud!
